Café La Pasion, Balangan | Post-Surf, Pre-Siesta Perfection

Brightly colored tiles, string lights, a giant hand-painted mural of Frida Kahlo, papel picado fluttering in the breeze—Café La Pasion in Balangan feels more like a groovy backyard fiesta than a café. It’s casual, it’s kitschy, it’s fun and totally unpretentious in that “we should really be here every Sunday” kind of way. The staff? Sweet as can be, and the menu’s the perfect mix of Mexican comfort, everyday standards, and island-fresh treats. Think loaded enchiladas, tasty burgers, smoothies, and the kind of brunches you crave hard about after a morning surf.

Don’t forget to order an infused coconut water (spiced with cinnamon and generous chunks of fresh fruit)—it’s an extra nice touch. And if you’re chasing the ideal post-surf feed, their enfrioladas might just be one of the Bukit’s best kept secrets.
