Café Vespa, Ubud (Penestanan) | pumpkin dosa dreams

Ubud’s café scene is endless, but Café Vespa is the one you always circle back to. Tucked in Penestanan, it’s cozy without being cramped, buzzy without being chaotic. The staff are some of the kindest you’ll meet (we notice these things), the coffee’s consistently spot-on, and the cake display is one of those dangerous ones you promise you’ll “just look at.”

Breakfast, lunch, dinner—it all works here, but the pumpkin dosa is the dish people whisper about (including us. It really is quite legendary). Pair it with an endless cuppa or a latte while you work on your laptop, or order a round of cookies and linger through a rainy afternoon with a good book. Vespa’s the rare café that feels like both a local hangout and a visitor’s secret find.
