Desa Eko, Munduk | Bali’s Mountain Hideaway & Home to The Botanist

— Stay & Eat —

By Des Res Bali

Film by Des Res Bali

Hidden high in the hills of North Bali, Desa Eko is the kind of place that makes you slow down and breathe again. Equal parts mountain sanctuary and design-minded eco village, it’s home to a handful of dreamy glamping tents, a minimalist studio overlooking the clouds, and The Botanist — one of Bali’s most beautiful farm-to-table restaurants.

It’s the kind of place you find by accident, then can’t stop thinking about. You wake up to mist rolling over jungle ridges, trek to waterfalls by day, and end your evenings tucked into a beanbag at The Botanist — warm lights glowing, rain pattering, plates of honest, nourishing food that feel like home.

It’s a reminder that simplicity doesn’t mean sacrifice — it means space to reconnect.

Hours: The Botanist is open daily 7:30 AM - 9:30 PM, Desa Eko Check-in Time: 2:00 PM | Check-out Time: 12:00 PM
