Bali Bohemia, Ubud

Bali Bohemia is one of those places that’s stayed true to itself — and that’s why it works. Tucked just off the bridge at the Nyuh Kuning end of the Monkey Forest, it sits right where Ubud starts to feel calmer, greener, and more lived-in.

The huts are small, cheerful, and full of personality: beaded curtains, hand-painted details, whimsical quotes, and brightly coloured mosquito nets that somehow feel joyful rather than purely practical. Gardens spill into walkways, balconies come with wicker chairs, and a painted bridge crosses the pool — charming without trying too hard.

While Bali Bohemia is also known for its restaurant, bakery, and live music nights, we’ve mostly loved it as a place to stay. It’s cosy, homey, and quietly uplifting — the kind of accommodation that makes you feel good without asking for much in return.

Being right on the edge of the Monkey Forest means the occasional monkey visit (secure your belongings), but it also puts you steps from Nyuh Kuning, one of our favourite areas in Ubud: walkable, relaxed, and full of great little cafés and restaurants.

Easygoing, colourful, and genuinely happy-making — Bali Bohemia is exactly what it promises to be.
